The day to day:
Program Management:

  • Enhance development of Shutterstock employees and manage programs in a strategic manner, by working closely with stakeholders (People Team and Business partners) to increase people and organization capability

  • Implement global learning programs based on needs assessment which may include compliance training, onboarding, management development, professional skills, wellness, DEI and internal insights training

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Ready to pivot when needed in the fast changing talent development landscape

  • Facilitate development workshops - both virtual and in-person - on core professional skills or proprietary content (e.g., Shutterstock Development Planning)

  • Evaluate learning initiatives and continuously seek improvements to existing programs to strengthen learning outcomes

  • Build & manage stakeholder and vendor relationships that best support learning strategy

  • Plan and lead ad-hoc projects and initiatives based on the organization needs and evolving landscape.

  • Support Performance Management program and Leadership Development programs as needed

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Gather and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives and create recommendations

  • Deliver training reports/presentations which communicate the impact of initiatives to stakeholders

L&D Operations:

  • LMS administration and oversight to ensure program management is smooth and data is accurately captured for reporting

  • Communicate and market learning programs through weekly updates via Slack or email, regular updates/posts to The Lens (internal intranet).

  • Execute the day-to-day L&D logistics including in-person or virtual workshops and act as  ‘producer’ to help ensure a smooth deployment of programs

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Strong experience in Learning, Talent Development or related role

  • Technically savvy and experience working with LMS Systems and Workday

  • Strong knowledge of current learning management practices, industry trends, digital learning platforms, and best practices.

  • A self-starter who is highly motivated and excited to help build and execute the SSTK learning strategy

  • Strong communication (both verbal and written), presentation - Can translate ideas and data into a presentation to engage key stakeholders. The ability to synthesize high-level information into action plans.

  • Instructional Design - Ability to independently design, develop, execute and facilitate learning programs

  • Project management - highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with limited resources. Ability to manage complex and ambiguous projects to meet objectives and achieve results

  • Agility - able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing  and collaborative work environment

  • Consulting skills - able to source information and ask relevant questions to inform solutions

  • Influencing skills - ability to effectively guide key stakeholders, while also being hands on with tactical execution.

  • Curiosity and Problem Solving - desire to learn and create solutions that will have an impact


Any of these would be a bonus:

  • Proficiency with the Google suite of tools, including Google slides

  • Previous experience with design tools and/or content creation tools (Vyond, Articulate etc)

  • Experience in tech industry or creative/ad agency is advantageous

  • Understanding of AI tools that can support and increase effectiveness in role
