Job title: Senior L&D Manager (Fixed Term Contract until June 2026)

Overview of the role:
Reporting into the Head of Learning Experience, the Senior L&D Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and delivering inspiring and appropriate learning and development solutions for colleagues and functions across PokerStars, Betfair International and Flutter International central teams. They will also ensure all elements that lead to high team performance, delivering through their team.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission aligned.
Our Leeds office is at the heart of our business. The 8-storey building has an onsite staff gym and cafeteria, two heated rooftop terraces, a dedicated gaming room and a staircase amphitheatre. The space brings all our teams under one roof in the biggest private letting office in Yorkshire.
What you’ll do:
Resource planning, team development, and coordination: Work with the L&D team to effectively plan resources, while also focusing on team development, engagement, motivation, and high performance. Coordinate the L&D team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring effective communication, support, and project management.
Strategic learning design and innovation: Design and deliver impactful learning offerings that support business strategy, focusing on the learning experience and user impact. Incorporate digital learning capabilities and innovative approaches, exploring emerging technologies and platforms.
Programme and project management: Deliver on L&D business priorities on time while responding to emerging needs and ad-hoc requests. Establish and reinforce processes that consider all cycles of project development. Allocate the right people to tasks to ensure delivery at pace, in an agile and flexible manner, and at a high standard of quality.
Budget management: Develop and manage budgets, measure impact, and adapt offerings to meet changing business needs.
Collaborator involvement and solution delivery: Engage with collaborators on learning projects, providing end-to-end learning solutions from brief to facilitation and continuous improvement.
Brand elevation: Develop and implement a marketing strategy to promote learning offerings internally and externally. Design immersive learning campaigns and digital solutions with a human-centric approach. Handle vendor negotiations, lead L&D projects, and elevate brand identity across the learning portfolio.
What you’ll bring:
Proven experience in resource planning, team development, and coordination.
Strong background in strategic learning design
Extensive programme and project management experience, including establishing and reinforcing processes.
Experience in budget management and measuring impact.
Proven track record of developing high-performing teams
Excellent experience in managing collaborators at a senior level
Experience in coaching team members to enhance performance.
Qualification in HR, Talent, and/or Learning preferred.
