Flutter Functions is an incredibly exciting group to work in Flutter – in the past two years it has scaled 137% and is a central to the Flutter Edge – our distinctive, global competitive advantage. Talent, technology, product and capital are at the heart of it and working in Flutter Functions provides a unique opportunity to be at the heart changing the game.
Flutter Functions in Flutter comprises of Finance, Legal, People, Technology and some critical operational teams under our Chief Operating Officer such as Trading and Property & Procurement, Payments and Strategic Change and Transformation.
In recognition of the significant scaling of Flutter Functions over the last two years, and the criticality of the functions in enabling the Flutter Edge and helping Flutter achieves it’s ambitious growth targets, we are recruiting an additional Senior Learning and Development Manager role who will report directly to the Associate Director of Talent for Flutter Functions.
The Senior Learning & Development Manager role is a member of the Talent, Leadership and Learning team as part of the larger People Function within Flutter Group Functions. We are the team focused on designing and delivering inclusive, best-in-class experiences for our people. In this role, you will work collaboratively amongst the team in the design and delivery of learning interventions to support the needs of the business, aligned to the strategic people priorities of our Flutter Functions.
The Senior Learning & Development Manager will work closely with the wider people team and senior stakeholders across the business. The incumbent will take a lead role to progress and evolve our development programmes and learning platforms for our talent to deliver breakthrough individual, team, and organisational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing and delivering learning and development initiatives aligned to our People strategy and roadmap for Flutter Group Functions across these three areas: core offerings for people managers, individual contributors, and learning experience platforms.
- Scope, manage, develop, and execute the design and delivery of varied development programmes and initiatives that build people manager and individual contributor capability across Flutter Functions.
- Champion and drive a compelling self-service learning experience, empowering, and equipping learners to access tailored development interventions from the learning menu of options on offer.
- Support ad-hoc learning initiatives and solutions across the Flutter Functions population. This will encompass various target segments and audiences based on our people strategy, various learning interventions including training, mentoring, coaching, on-the-job, experiential, and more, to continuously diversify and evolve our learning and development offering that meets both people and business needs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on career development initiatives that build the depth and diversity of our internal talent pools and succession pipelines.
- Contribute to the wider Flutter Functions and Flutter talent and learning community, sharing knowledge and best practices, and identifying constructive collaboration and scale opportunities for talent development solutions, systems, and providers from our Hubs in Cluj, Porto, Hyderabad and the wider Flutter Group.
- Take a data driven approach in defining the people development programmes, solutions and initiatives; develop and provide data-driven insight into outcomes and impact against agreed objectives.
- Lead on opportunities to elevate the visibility and perception of our people development experiences and programmes on offer through comms strategies and storytelling to keep learning top of mind.
- Oversee and manage our one-stop–shop for learning hub - Flutter Connect intranet, as we are evolving our learning proposition and adding new programmes in our development menu of options.
- Liaise with communication representative to agree a communication plan inclusive of audiences and channels for regularly reporting on the status and results of development initiatives.
Experience:
- A capable thought leader in learning and development with a strong external network.
- Proven track record of effectively operating in a learning and development role with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout a global organisation at all levels
- Experience of supporting the design and execution of a learning and development strategy that accelerates business strategy execution.
- Relevant experience in project management and budgeting.
- Strong working knowledge of learning and development best practice and innovations.
- Structured thinking and a clear ability to effectively shape stakeholder decision making
- Strong communication, contracting and negotiation skills and a good ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong track record of dealing with 3rd party suppliers around timelines, budgets, SLAs and offerings.
- Strong organisational skills with business-oriented and results focused thinking.
- Track record of contributing to successful teams and of building teams capable of sustaining high performance over time.
