Training Manager
Location: Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Somerset
Employment: Full-time
Hours Per Week: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £34,000 – £38,000 per annum, depending upon experience
About the role
As Training Manager you would be responsible for leading in the effective strategic planning and delivery of internal and external training for PBS4. You will also be responsible for the line management of the training team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- To work alongside the Senior PBS Clinician to identify and allocate annual budget for training to ensure training needs are met across the organisation.
- To work alongside managers of all parts of the organisation to ensure the workforce is equipped with necessary and relevant skills.
- Ensure compliance with staff development and training requirements of all regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate across the organisation to design and maintain a skills matrix considering teams needs and identifying internal and external training support.
- To design and deliver alongside the training team (and other relevant experts) a suite of training which meets organisational needs.
- To design, deliver and create an implementation plan to support vocational qualifications in the workplace.
- To support with reporting on training compliance and delivery (both internal and external) to the Senior Leadership Team.
- You must adhere to our policies, procedures and practice statements (including those of the General Social Care Council).
- You will need to keep appropriate records as required, ensuring strict confidentiality and GDPR is followed at all times.
- To maintain and develop links with other agencies, providers and relevant professionals.
- To contribute to the Clinical and Training (Enablement Hub) delivery plan which will support with the overall PBS4 strategy delivery.
- To oversee, co-ordinate and contribute to assessment and verification.
- To ensure training complies with updated national and local policy guidance.
- To maintain own CPD, occupational knowledge and occupational competency to deliver training.
Requirements for the role include:
- Experience of development and delivery of training modules for both internal external delivery.
- Experience of developing and managing systems to support training delivery.
- Experience of working in social care.
- Experience of line management.
- A minimum certificate in education and training (CET) or equivalent qualification or working towards either qualification.
- Qualified as an NVQ assessor or willingness to complete.
- You will need to have knowledge around legal requirements and CQC guidance in relation to training and development.
- A full driving licence with willingness to travel across all PBS4 regions.

About PBS4
PBS4 is a values led social care organisation, providing Neurodisability Services to individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism and/or behaviours that may challenge. We support people living in their own homes, with their own tenancies, and we utilise Positive Behaviour Support as the framework for the support we provide.
We are a medium-sized organisation supporting 40 people across Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Somerset and Oxfordshire and with a workforce of around 280 employees.
